UpToDate and Lexicomp

UpToDate and Lexicomp are both available to all Oak Point students. UpToDate is a professional medical encyclopedia used by healthcare professionals for accessing current medical information to support patient care. Lexicomp is a drug encyclopedia that includes drug interaction information. Scroll down for more information about Lexicomp in the right column below. 

UPTODATE & APP (Encyclopedia for anything medical, including drug information)

As an individual at Oak Point, you have access to UpToDate via a computer or as an app on your smart phone. 

  1. Navigate to UpToDate

  2. Enter the eResources login credentials.

  3. Click on "Register Now" and fill out the form. Use any email you prefer.

  4. Submit the registration and follow the additional instructions to verify your new account.

  5. The username and password you created in the previous step will allow you to download the app on your phone. Go to your phone’s App store, search for UpToDate, and download it.  Plug in the username and password you just created. In order to re-authenticate your app every 90 days, just log into UpToDate on a computer-based browser via the library website.
